Red blood cells and buffer migrate up a paper strip that is impregnated with
monoclonal antibodies to either the A and B red cell antigens (cats) or the
DEA 1.1 antigen (dogs). A positive reaction is seen as a red band on one or
two portions of the paper strip. A control band is incorporated in both
tests to ensure the test has been successful.
